There's a lot of hot air out there:
Saturday, November 3. Balloon day. Up at 3:10 AM. Yes, the wake-up call was for 4:10. Telling time here is more challenging than I realized. Took off a bit late, just after sunrise, but still gorgeous. There were 16 people on board the basket. Our first order of business was going over our landing position. The pilot, Mustafa, indicated that for couples together, they should both squat, the husband behind the wife while holding on to the rope hand grips (reference "50 shades of gray", chapter 23). He then said, "There is no extra charge for that position." Our captain was not only an excellent pilot (the best in the area 3 years running and one of 3 owners of the ballooning company) but also a comedian. Then, this was a typical exchange between him and one of the other pilots: "Do your passengers know this is your first flight?" Our pilot responded, "Do your passengers know this is your last?"
Would highly recommend ballooning.

Every successful landing is celebrated with some champagne!
